Season Tickets now available

Season tickets for the 2004-2005 Lady Bulldog campaign are now available. Reserved-seat packages are $55 and, in addition to 15 contests in Athens, include a ticket to see the Lady Dogs take on Clemson in the Russell Athletic Shootout at the Gwinnett Arena in Duluth on Sunday, Feb. 13. In addition, Senior Citizen season tickets are $40. A Family Plan season ticket, which includes four general admission tickets (two adult and two youth) to all home games, is just $75 total.

Kelly Miller named WBNA’s Most Improved Player

Former Lady Dog guard Kelly Miller received the honor on Monday – two years after sister Coco was named the league’s Most Improved Player.

La’Keshia Frett scored six points, and the New York Liberty knocked off defending champion Detroit to advance to the Eastern Conference finals. Deanna Nolan scored 16 to lead Detroit and scored a key basket with just over 12 seconds remaining to tie the game and set up the finish.

Out in the Western Conference, Lady (Hardmon) Grooms and Sacramento advanced into the conference finals past Christi Thomas and Los Angeles. thomas scored two points and had seven rebounds in the decisive Game 3.

Still alive and fighting for the remaining two conference final spots are Washington (Kiesha Brown, Coco Miller), Connecticut, Minnesota (Teresa Edwards), and Seattle.

The University of Georgia has been featuring some of its best and brightest on its Web site as “Amazing Students”, and Lady Bulldog Tina Taylor was recently profiled.

The UGA Athletic Association recently held Picture Day for the new year of Bulldog sports, and all Lady Dogs were there to meet the fans. Over three hours, the team took shifts signing autographs, taking pictures, and talking with fans about the upcoming season.
