More about Marist

Tuesday March 14, 2006

Marist College is rallying around their women’s basketball program. “About 200 fans, parents, faculty and administrators joined the Red Foxes at Marist’s Student Center to watch the nationally televised program which announced the 64-team field.” The college is sending a fan bus down to Sunday’s game.

Georgia won a very tough and physical game at Marist in December 2004. The 79-62 final score doesn’t tell the tale. It was only a one-point game at halftime and remain close until the final few minutes. Tasha Humphrey had 26 points and 10 rebounds, Cori Chambers had 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting, and Janese Hardrick had 13 points in the second half to help Georgia finally pull away.
