Seen At Stegeman: The Kentucky Game

Thursday January 31, 2008

"A rainy night in Georgia…Lord I believe it’s rainin’ all over the world."

47-44, Kentucky. Same song, different verse. Cold shooting and a rash of turnovers. When Megan nailed that three heading into the halftime locker room, you just had a feeling that the Lady Bulldogs were going to pull away in the second half. Instead, they were held to only 17 points in the final twenty minutes. Meanwhile, the ‘Cats were knocking down clutch three-pointers and intercepting a lot of passes. Tasha had 20 points despite being double and triple-teamed…but a team field-goal percentage of 28% is pretty much going to get you whooped in an SEC game against anybody. Not to take anything away from Kentucky, though…they made the big shots and the big stops. They gutted this one out.

Vandy’s in town this Sunday afternoon…so it doesn’t get any easier.
