Angela Puleo To Transfer From Georgia
This just in from the UGA Sports Communications Office:
ATHENS, GA. — Angela Puleo (pictured), who recently completed her sophomore season with the Georgia Lady Bulldogs, has decided to transfer to complete her basketball eligibility, head coach Andy Landers announced on Tuesday.
“We appreciate all of Angela’s contributions over the past two years and wish her well,” Landers said.
Puleo, a 5-9 guard from Maryville, TN., started 32 of 33 games played as a freshman in 2007-08, averaging 8.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. This season, she started 28 of 31 games and averaged 7.4 points and 2.4 boards per game.
“The University of Georgia has provided me with an excellent education during my two years in Athens,” Puleo said. “I just feel at this time it would be in my best interest to look for another school.”
