As predicted, Georgia’s season-opening victory over Oklahoma got the attention of the nation’s coaches. While the Lady Bulldogs didn’t quite crack the top twenty, they did escape the ranks of the unranked and made their first appearance in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll this week at #22. There was also some shuffling near the top of the rankings as Tennessee vaulted into the top five on the strength of their nationally televised win over last week’s fourth-ranked Baylor. Here’s the ESPN/USA Today top five and Georgia’s ranking:
