TOMORROW NIGHT: Georgia vs. Chattanooga
If you’re old-school Lady Bulldog Nation, chances are you’ve spent some quality time in Chattanooga’s McKenzie Arena or, as it’s more affectionately known, The Roundhouse (pictured). Chattanooga was the longtime home of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament before the current system of rotating host cities was implemented and a February road trip to The Roundhouse was a rite of almost-Spring for the Lady Dawg faithful. There’s not a bad seat in the house…and the upper-level is so steep that it looks like if you were to stumble down the aisle, you’d land directly on the center-court Mocs logo. It gets LOUD in there, too. Tomorrow night, the Lady Bulldogs will march into The Roundhouse to take on the Lady Mocs of Chattanooga in a border clash on the banks of the Tennessee River. (Okay…here’s hoping the game isn’t nearly as dramatic as that description.)
The Lady Mocs are 1-1 after a season-opening loss to East Tennessee State and a win over Austin Peay. Georgia wants to keep the momentum from Sunday’s win over Oklahoma building as they stare down the barrel of a bruising non-conference schedule. The tip-off is set for 7:00 PM (Eastern) and, if you can’t make it up to Chattanooga, the game can be heard on your local Georgia Bulldog Radio Network affiliate station.
