SEC Tournament Update
Opening-round SEC Tournament action is in the books and now all eyes are on our own Lady Bulldogs as they take the court in Duluth tomorrow night. No huge surprises so far…Alabama rolled up on Mississippi State on Wednesday night…Florida got past Arkansas in a good game this afternoon…then Carolina routed the Tide to end ‘Bama’s season…the evening session tipped off with Vandy beating Missouri…and LSU just got done holding off a furious comeback attempt by Auburn, earning the right to face the Lady Dawgs in tomorrow night’s second game.
So here’s what shaking tomorrow at the Arena at Gwinnett Center:
Friday, March 8 (All Times Eastern)
Game 6 – #1 Tennessee vs. #9 Florida (12:00 PM)
Game 7 – #4 Texas A&M vs. #5 South Carolina (2:30 PM)
Game 8 – #2 Kentucky vs. #7 Vanderbilt (6:00 PM)
Game 9 – #3 GEORGIA vs. #6 LSU (8:30 PM)
Your official Fastbreak Club Web Dude will be on the scene tomorrow night, camera (as always) at the ready. It’s a long, late-night drive back to Winterville…so the site won’t be updated tomorrow night. But we’ll have all of Friday’s particulars…including a game recap, web links, and exclusive Georgia/LSU photos…posted right here Saturday morning. See you in Duluth, Fastbreakers!

Ok fastbreakers. Lets show some class tonight!!!! I’ve been here all day and have seen so many hateful, ugly fans. It’s so embarrassing. Tennessee should be embarrassed by their people. They have been so hateful!

I’m sorry you apparently had a bad experience, Phoebe. Maybe I’m riding an incredible lucky streak…but I can honestly say I’ve never had a run-in with any “opposing” fan at any of the SEC Tournaments I’ve attended (including this one). The vast majority of SEC women’s basketball fans…Tennessee fans included…enjoy talking some good-natured smack at the tournament while still ending the day with a handshake or a slap on the back. But I co-sign you 110% in suggesting that Fastbreakers set the standard for class and sportsmanship. Thanks, as always, for commenting!
