Dear Lady Bulldog Supporters,
It's football time in Georgia! We all know when Georgia football begins the regular season that the Lady Bulldog Basketball team begins its preseason preparations. Certainly this is an exciting time of the year for all Georgia fans. Our coaching staff is extremely excited. There is a certain buzz around our office. Perhaps it stems from all of our players returning to Athens for the Fall Semester or that those four players who were injured during the off season are at the end of their rehab and recovery. But it could be plans relating to a pumped up promotional campaign or it may be the addition of three new players and one new coach or the expectations of a promising 2005-06 season. Regardless of what it is, there is a buzz and we hope that each of you sense the renewed enthusiasm and will once again support the Lady Bulldog Basketball team.
As another school year begins, so does a renewed campaign to make the Fastbreak Club an even better support group. The Fastbreak Club through the years has sponsored a number of social activities that I believe we have all enjoyed. By sponsoring the preseason party, the Christmas party, the Senior Day reception and the Awards Banquet, the Fastbreak Club has facilitated a way for our players and staff to get better acquainted with our fans. Additionally, it allows our fans to get to know each other much better and become united in their sense of purpose relating to their support of Lady Bulldog Basketball. We have a tremendous fan following and many of you have elected to join the Fastbreak Club. The Fastbreak Club has provided great support for our basketball team. First and foremost, the Club is a tremendous support group. The enthusiasm that you show at and around our events certainly motivates our team and staff. Additionally, you have provided various items: presently we are placing a computer station in our players’ lounge so that our players can knock out a little class work between classes, prior to practice, and around other activities that require them to be in or around the Coliseum.
So
with 2005-06 just around the corner, I want to encourage each of you to
once again join the Fastbreak Club - let’s make this year the best
ever!
